Thoughts of a late poet

I had a fleeting thought about one of our departed fellow poets, Richard Tietjen, last weekend while reading the newspaper. Later that day, while taking a walk in Branford, Susie and I stopped on a bench for a few moments. When we got up, I realized the bench was donated in Richard’s name to the Shoreline Greenway Trail.

This morning I came across a page of Richard’s poetry and wanted to share:  https://sites.google.com/site/richardtietjengpg/

  1. Glad you “discovered” Richard’s CT bench.
He also has one in South Amherst, MA, at the edge of the Robert Frost Trail, on side trail in his memory, called “Poet’s Walk”, where he played as a child.
He is often in my thoughts as well,
    thanks for sharing.
