Although Donald Weidman’s “Blue Monday Poets’ Society” meets on Thursdays,  Weidman is quick to point out that the expression “Blue Monday” is itself a poetic metaphor and no reason why the society should meet on a Monday. As a matter of fact, Weinman believes Thursday is a better day. “It gives us time to get over our blue Monday.” Weinman imposes no structure on the group. 1. Hi, My message to you flew while I was still typing my web site and it seems to want to fill in a web address that isn’t mine. Mine is serettamartin.com. Did you receive me earlier message?

  2. Hi Poets, I don’t see my earlier message here so I will type it again. You group of poets sounds delightful. I will be in CT from July 28 through Aug. 9 and would like to come visit you and hopefully be a featured poet for your group on Aug. 2, or simply read a few poems and you read yours. I am a former resident of CT but have lived in San Diego, CA for many years. My website will give you more info. Please let me know if you’d like for me to come. I’ll be at the Sunken Garden Poetry Festival and Tony Hoagland’s workshop July 30 through Aug. 1 but I see that you meet on Aug. 2 so it may work out. May your muse amuse you with delight! serettamartin.com
