Christmas haiku

I’d like to see some Christmas haiku.  Anyone want to try his/her hand?

(remember stick to the classic format: three lines, first with 5 syllables, second with 7 syllables, third with 5).

  1. A star shines on high
    Three shapes following on faith
    So that malls could thrive

  2. church bells play noël–
    pileated woodpecker tapping
    high in a hickory

this poem from the chapbook “still dandelions” by Stephen Page
