For today, write a poem about your prophet  or “religion.” Some spiritual that you believe in. Maybe an organized faith or maybe some more personalized. Write about a “religious experience.”

  1. Wild grapes scent
    the sumac, tinged scarlet.
    The mists of fall
    moisten thirsty tongued leaves.
    Circular depression in long grasses
    gives clues to deer bed.
My dog sees with his nose
what I cannot with my eyes.
Presence of the One is thick
    like cathedral incense.
