Suggested Theme Thursday: nature’s sudden moves

A short time before leaving work this evening, a massive dark cloud crept over New Haven. Within a few minutes, the sky opened and the workers scurrying from the building got soaked. It got me thinking about the suddenness of nature (and I was thankful to have a small umbrella stashed under my desk).  That said, today’s theme is the suddenness of nature. Consider a time when you fell “victim” to the fast moving storm, perhaps a thunderstorm, or even a tornado. Think about earthquakes and tsunamis. Ever see a rainbow?  How about two at the same time? (I’ve seen it). Maybe a freak snowstorm that dumped 10 inches on you. I’m sure we all have a tale to tell on this subject.

How can you weave the sudden moves of the world around us into a poem?
